Hawai‘i Police K‑9 Left in Hot Car Dies—Department Launches Criminal Probe

The six-and-a-half-year-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix died on Sept. 4 after he “was left unattended in a police vehicle for an unacceptable period of time,” according to a police press release.
