Fake Death, Real Consequences—Man Convicted for 2008 Rape After Fleeing to Scotland

A Rhode Island man accused of fleeing to Scotland and faking his own death to evade rape charges has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a former girlfriend in Utah in 2008, according to the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office.
